Hey folks,

Gonna be doing some long needed reconstruction on the website here so please bare with me over the next couple of months. Things are good, and I am working my but off. Gonna start working on a new full lenght CD in the new year and hope to be finishing a new cd for Kelly Burgos in the early part of the new year as well.

My friend Duff Ferguson asked me to be a part of a new instructional songwriting video series he is putting together over on you tube. It's called "The Craft". I had a great time doing it and you will be able to hear me talk about my songwriting process as well as hear an acoustic version of the song "Brake Up. Please click the link below. Solo artist Stefano's five-song EP is altogether old-scholl and classic rock/pop in approach, but that should not dissuade fans of this sound from checking out what he has to offer. The bittersweet "Brake Up" has a rapturous chorus a la Grant-Lee Phillips, and we hear a stylistic kinship with George Harrison, as well, particularly on the lilting "Hey Love." As a vocalist, Stefano's melodic, high pitched devlivery is altogether satisfying. Film/TV placements could be an avenue for him.

Hey friends and fans. Wow! Busy of late. Let's see. I'm jazzed at the moment from reading the pete townshend diaries on his website. You can also see some live performance of the current who tour on www.thewholive.tv. it's funs to listen to while I'm at work. Blahhhhh. But I get inspired that this 60 year old man is still banging out music and recording and writing. He seems to have all sorts of projects going on. Anyway, let's see....

Just played a radio show with Kelly Burgos on Sunday on 88.5 Northridge Univ. on a Blues show with Ann "The Raven". This was to promote the 1st Annual Pasadena Blues Festival on sunday June 23rd. We will be performing two sets on tow stages. One at 3pm and another on the main stage at about 6pm. Your's truly will also be doing a short solo set at about 5pm.

Saturday July 29th I will be doing a set at Fais Do-Do as part of the, The International Pop Overthrow.And as if that were not enough, I will be at The Monsoon Cafe accompanying the fabulous Red Letter, w/Frank and Jessica.

Hey Folks,

Just wanted to touch base with those of you checking. Recording is coming along on my new stuff which I hope to release in some form by this summer.

I'm also playing shows with Kelly Burgos and Jason Moss at Genghis Cohen on Tuesday the 9th and Friday the 12th of May respectively. Also on the Wednesday the 24th I'll be at Molly Malone's with Red Letter.

What else is going on ummmmmmmmmmmm..... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

My mother Victoria "Betty" Capobianco, is currently on set working in a new Billy Bob Thornton film. Pretty cool huh. Let's hope her scenes make the cut. No release date is set yet, but I will be sure to keep you up to date.

Also, currently working on new material for a new Stefano Album in 2006. Working title, "Living In A "State" Of California".

Proper Villains also beginning working on new songs for a cd release in the New Year.

By the beginning of the year both the Proper Villains website and Stefanovox, will be up a running with lot's of great stuff to see and hear so stay tuned.

Stefano is originally from New Jersey. At age 13, he dove head first into music of KISS. In comparison to the AM radio upbringing of The Bee Gees, Olivia Newton John, and America, this was a major rebellion. Soon he discovered Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and The Beatles. When MTV came around though, it created a Pop/Rock monster. Stefano blended his love of true rock guitar grit, with pop song sensibilities and perfomance art.

In 1995 Stefano moved to Boston to join old school friends in the band Little John. Stepping in on bass, and fulfilling a dream of being the John Paul Jones/Paul McCartney of the band, LJ went on to sign with EMI in New York and released there debut CD "Derailer" in '96. Followed by '97's "We'll always Have Ohio".

Stefano's yearning to get back to his own music soon began to take hold and he recorded "Stefano" in 1997. Since then he has produced his own music, performed with singer/ pianist Cindi Law, under the name Proper Villains, and performed with and produced some of Los Angeles' hottest singer/songwriters and bands such as Jerry Wagers, Michael Mccarthy and Kelly Burgos, whose debut CD, produced with Sheila E. will be out in 2006.

Happy Halloween,

Just wanted to let you know about the next Proper Villains show Tuesday, Nov. 8th, 9pm at Room 5, Los Angeles.

There is going to be alot of activity in the coming months. Look for a Proper Villains CD, maybe a Stefano solo cd, as well as several other projects I will be participating in. The Kelly Burgos CD looks to be coming to a release date which I will let you know about, and also look forward to a new CD from singer/songwriter Aurin Lahiri, produced by Jeff Poe (Santana, Guns & Roses). I played guitar on some of his tracks.

And I am excited that my friend Michael McCarthy has begun recording a CD of which I will be playing some guitar. Sounds great.
